fixreplies sometimes is a helpfull solution

@laikas and I (@wichor) had a discussion on twitter with @pfanderson. She was sending messages containing all names of tweeps she included in a slide share. But because she started with the phrase 'included in...' everyone following her recieved all of these messages in their timeline.

Because of the #fixreplies changes twitter made some months ago you no longer see tweets that start with an @ sign, unless you also follow that person. However in your own replies section you still see all tweets you where are mentioned.

So tweeting

included @a @b @c @d in this and that slideshare

shows up in a,b,c and d's replies section but also sends this message to all people that follow you and presents it in their timeline.

Instead when tweeting

@a @b @c @d included in this and that slideshare

sends a message to the @replies section of a,b,c and d, but will only show up in the public timeline of the people that follow you and follow a. Much less annoying to your followers if you have to tweet multiple tweets to include all references.

So sometime #fixreplies is not that bad.
